Christopher Murphy - Caricaturist From Cumbria

Christopher Murphy is a caricaturist who draws on-the-spot caricatures for Weddings, parties and corporate events and exhibitions. He covers Cheshire, Manchester, Liverpool, Lancashire, Yorkshire, Cumbria, the Lake District, the North and North West, but will travel to other locations if requested.

Brilliant for parties, weddings, dinner dances, promotional/ training events and exhibitions. On-the-spot caricature portraits are a great icebreaker - they get people talking. Chris chats and jokes with guests as he draws them, which all helps to make it a fun occasion, and your guests have a permanent souvenir to take away to remind them of their day (or night!).

Chris Murphy’s caricature style is flattering but humorous so guaranteed not to offend. He draws mainly black and white outline sketches but can work in full colour if numbers are small.
 
For larger parties Chris works as a roving artist with an A4 pad, drawing quick caricatures in ink (and without the aid of an eraser!) at the rate of about 15 portraits per hour. For weddings or a dinner dance it works well if he starts drawing at drinks reception and continue round the tables through the meal which usually takes about 3 hours.

For the smaller intimate party, full colour portraits might be more appropriate. Chris draws these sat at an easel on A3 paper in ink and pastel at the rate of 5 per hour. Please be aware that reasonable lighting to do this kind of work is required.
