About Vera Lynn/1940s Tribute Act - A Salute to Vera Lynn & The 1940s

Lorrie Brown is one of the country’s most experienced Vera Lynn tributes. She started her tribute in 1995 and has performed in in many diverse venues including theatres, hotels, homes and football stadiums.

Some of the favourites that Lorrie performs include White Cliffs of Dover, Lili Marlene, A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square, Yours, We’ll Meet Again and many of the old singalongs loved by all.

Lorrie is quickly gaining a following on the lunchtime hotel circuit at Best Western Hotels around the country, regularly selling out, especially on the build up to Christmas.
As well as travelling around the world with her show, Lorrie gets a great deal of pleasure performing her show in the local residential homes. She was recently asked to perform in front of the Chelsea Pensioners at their hospital in London.
Her recent TV appearances include SKY TV, GMTV, YTV’s CALENDAR and an appearance in a 1940’s TV special on YTV.

Lorrie’s voice is perfectly suited to the beautiful melodic songs of a bygone era.
Lorrie’s warmth and personality added to her beautiful voice make her a great favorite with fans of the 40’s music.

A Salute to the 1940’s is a fantastic traditional variety show packed with tributes to the stars of the 40’s.
As soon as the audience walk into the room they are transported back in time to the 1940’s with flags, posters, bunting and webbing.
The show has everything that any fan of the 1940’s could wish for. Acts included in the show are Vera Lynn, George Formby, Gracie Fields, Andrews Sisters and G.I Frank Sinatra; all held together by Warden Braithwaite, the shows very own compere/warden.
